Location: Gorski Kotar is a stunning mountainous region in western Croatia, often referred to as the "green heart of Croatia" or "Croatian Switzerland". Risnjak National Park is one of the most famous places in the region, with the 1528-meter Risnjak peak and the headwaters of the Kupa River rising in a deep, green gorge.
