Location: Torri del Benaco is 38 km far from Verona. Compared to the capital of Veneto, it is located in a northwestern position on the Veronese coast of Lake Garda. With the advent of the Scaligeri family in Verona, the defenses of the port in Torri were strengthened and a fortified harbor was created. The castle commissioned by Antonio Della Scala was also built on the ruins of a pre-existing structure, which was one of the most important fortresses of the entire Lake Garda area.
Today it houses an interesting ethnographic museum that shows the most characteristic aspects of the local culture. On the south side there is a greenhouse for citrus fruits.
