What advantages does an agent bring for buyers?
The agent acts as a competent, honest adviser for prospective buyers: understanding your wishes and budget, walking the property with you and giving an assessment. They negotiate in your interest, prepare a legally sound purchase contract and accompany you to the notary and the handover. Not least, we offer intercultural support when buying outside Germany.
How much equity is necessary?
As a rule of thumb, buyers should be able to cover 20 to 30% of the purchase price with equity - and ideally the purchase incidental costs as well. 100% financing is also possible; how much equity is actually needed depends largely on the financing bank.
What should I look out for at a viewing?
The good news first: we accompany you at viewings and share our assessment throughout. In general: check the property's condition and whether reality matches the exposé, pay attention to location and neighbourhood - and think in advance about what matters most to you.
When should I buy a property?
That is your personal decision. Besides your individual financial situation, the current market and expected credit costs may play a role - as does whether you are buying as an investment or for your own use. Ultimately the “when” also depends on when your dream property comes up for sale at all: in sought-after regions, a little patience is sometimes required.
