How can I recognise a good broker?

The quality of an estate agent is recognisable to the trained eye and can be assessed by objective standards. Their expertise and experience coupled with the range of services are an expression of their skill. A reputable, good broker does not shy away from being evaluated by their clients and evidences their own competencies in a comprehensible, transparent, and understandable way.

Personal accessibility and a clear line

A good estate agent does not hide behind excuses and does not make promises that are impossible to keep. Instead, they first seek dialogue with owners and interested parties alike. In doing so, they get an idea of everyone’s plans and already address important details. You can ask a good estate agent the questions that are important to you: They have the right answers. A reliable estate agent also remains accessible to their clients, for whom the sale and purchase of a property is equally an important matter involving a lot of money after all.

Memberships of associations

We are a member of the BVFI (Federal Association for the Real Estate Industry) and the IVD (Real Estate Association of Germany). Membership of these associations is an indication of a serious, competent real estate agent, as admission is by professional examinations only. The broker has proven that they have the necessary professional and technical knowledge, and they also undergo regular further training.

A broad range of services is another objectively measurable indication of the quality of the broker, as are their qualifications and their perceived continuous professional development. It helps potential clients in their decision-making and the broker in the upcoming property transaction.
